This may be a long overdue blogging, but I don't wanna waste the opportunity to blog about this interesting, good tour & I would like to show how much I love to travel too~ wtf?! LMAO~ ^.^ (however, the tour was quite pricey).
That time I went was around summer in year 2012, when it was EUR 37/ person~Now, I think it has slightly increased a bit...a few Euros laa...wtf~ everything increases, so, must be in line with the current economy what..
Here's the website in case one would like to visit Salzburg one day:

At the Salzburg train station. |
*peace* |
The non-bustling town (clean & peaceful) :) |
We were inside the bus now, at the bus terminal overlooking outside from the bus. |
The Panorama SoM Tour Bus |
Anyway, let's move on to this Panorama tour review. It will only take you to some of the selected Sound of Music places~
Most of the time, you'll be spending it traveling on the bus. As you can see, traveling with the conducted tour is usually in a very fast pace, just like you're in a cartoon scene. wtf~ hahaha~
You will have no time to observe properly, or to spend more time taking pictures and so on.
UNLESS, you would want to rent a car and tour on your own. Touring on your own also has pros & cons. If you do not know how to plan properly, you'll might end up not going anywhere else & wasting the hell of your time at one place!
We were on A day's visit in Salzburg from Munich, Germany via DB Bahn train. The open ticket for the train only costed us EUR 10/person! I really think that the tix was quite cheap for to & fro (Munich>Salzburg).
So, spending a few hours by engaging this tour was good for us. But it was quite pricey as I mentioned again. Otherwise, it's all good! :) We got to see a lot of scenic views while on the bus too.
First, the bus will pick you up at the Mirabellplatz bus terminal, near to St. Andrew's church. Everyone gathers there. Then it will take you to one place and to the next places of interest. The distance of one place to another is quite a distance. Therefore, I don't think it's advisable to be on your own and be adventurous unless you're spending lots of days in Austria!
Overall, we got to see:
Me looking ecstatic that I was there! :D |
Hellbrunn Palace |
2. The gazebo! I am sixteen all over again! @ Schloss Hellbrunn |
Salzburg fortress, now house the talented artists (those who are great in drawings) 3. Sight of the Salzburg fortress from afar |
Scenery from the Mirabell Garden, overlooking the tail of the Pegasus & the fortress which is up on the hill~ |
The sign says it all! |
Me, riding on a unicorn. Epic~ wtf~ :P |
Beautiful, colourful and lovely flowers are still well kept!! Wowwww, amazing!
You could also simulate how Maria ran with the von Trapp kids at the Mirabell Garden's arch! wheeee~~
After that, we walked to the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof to take our train ride back to Munich.
If only we have more time to spend in Salzburg! We hope to come back for more next time. So much to see, but so lil' time spent!
Overall, interesting experience for a short, fast stay!
Btw, we've got ourselves a nice & friendly tour conductor!
And luckily, we had engaged a tour on this, otherwise, we wouldn't be able to cover much in Salzburg for just a single day, even though Salzburg was only a small, quiet city! :)
