2015: Hong Kong (Day 06): Food Hunting & City Walk

We decided to spend our last day to jalan-jalan cari makan again (in Malay translated to English: walk around looking for food) before departing back to Malaysia! So, we forego our breakfast voucher from the hotel again. haha~
Hong Kong is famous for its local delicacy in which we won't be able to find some of the food sold, even in M'sia. Therefore, we have to try as much as possible while we were still here. ;D

This is the one and only famous cafe outlet at 47 Parkes Street, Jordan in Hong Kong to eat your breakfast. Do measure the goodness of the food by the long queue, in which you could see it from the picture yourself :D
The cafe's name has got nothing to do with Australia though. LOL~

I think we had to queue for like 30 min before we got to "tap toi" (sharing table) again. haha~
If one "tap toi", one will get to be seated faster in HK. So, think again if you wanna "tap toi" anot :P

Here we stumbled upon a banner advertising for YONEX brand on badminton players. We saw our World No. 1 national player, Datuk Lee Chong Wei. :)

We were almost reaching the main entrance. *waiting patiently*

Something extraordinary in which you could find only in here or at Yee Shun Milk Company cafe. However, in this cafe, they have 2 different choices, the milk pudding and egg yolk pudding. A must try!!

Chinese language menu.
If one didn't know how to read this menu, one is just waiting to be screwed by the waiter cause wasting their precious time. >.<

Milk pudding.
Felt like chawanmushi. Yummm..very smooth type of milk.

Egg yolk almond pudding. Not bad too.

Macaroni in soup with some cut ham which came in a set with the bread and scrambled egg and a cup of tea or coffee.
I think this was just a decent macaroni. Nothing to shout out about. I read some bloggers and some social friends of mine were saying that this was so good. IMO, it was more like macaroni dipped into the instant noodle broth paste. >.<

Bread with scrambled egg.
A friend mentioned that the egg was so smooth. I think it was just a decent meal.
Normal kind of scrambled egg.

The inside of the cafe. Quite crampy and narrow but don't worry, fully air conditined.

After breakkie, we actually went for a walk the nearby places. Chanced upon this property agent. Properties can be from HKD1.8 million to 4.0 million.

Check out the differences in the properties in around the area. ;)

We then walked to Kowloon Park for some birds watching. *chip chip*

The Victoria Crowned Pigeon.

Resting with this Aquarius.
Tasted like 100plus but without the carbonated gas. Nice.

Blue and Yellow macaw bird.

The bird guessed matches with this description above.

After loitering for awhile, we headed back to Parkes Street to try the Mak Man Kee Noodle House.
Mini Schweppes and Coca-cola bottles.

Wanton Noodles.

How narrow the seating was.

Beef brisket noodle. It was not bad. The broth was quite flavourful.

Then we took a train to Apliu Street. It is a flea market in the daytime. (daytime pasar malam)

Apliu Street area and its vicinity.

Random Yau Char Kuai and Ham Chim Peng shop.

The boy wanted to try. It tasted good when it had just freshly deep-fried.

Spotted "Pei O See Market" (let you pangsai market). LOL~

Mong Kok tiles and I.

Line social network emoticon decoration at the Langham Place.

Visiting one of my fav outlet, H&M.

Bought something back after visiting =.=" LOL~
It was on sale.

Purposely went looking and walking around just to find Kam Wah Cafe at 47 Bute Street, nearby Mong Kok, Hong Kong just to look for a pastry.

Special Polo Bun which tasted so good. Crispy and sweetie from the outside and very soft from the inside with buttery taste. Very fragrant smell too.

Kam Wah cafe at Mong Kok, Hong Kong.

After that, we went to somewhere around the nearby place to have a bowl of porridge. We googled from our temporary data plan via Foursquare.
Generally HK porridge was smooth, however, I spotted that their century egg was growing fungus that looked like a "needle" through the see thru egg. OMG~
We just swallowed most of it, thinking it was ok. LOL.

This goose meat was ok.
But meat in general was slightly tougher than chicken meat though.

Souvenirs I bought for the colleagues.

Souvenirs. *Dragonnn* RawrRRR*

Souvenirs for the tummy. :P

Kee Wah brand Wife's biscuits (Lou Por Peng) at HKD85/10 piece.
Bought 10 pieces to try from the Langham Place which came in a box. It was really delicious although slightly on the expensive side. It was crunchy on the outside, just like the pastry and chewy and soft too with a hint of wintermelon taste. *yummm*

The box says it all ;)

~End of Day 06 and almost the end of our Hong Kong holiday trip~
