2014: Taiwan (Day 02)- Tainan (Wenwu Temple & Sun Moon Lake) and Kaohsiung

Da jia how (Everybody is good)!

 Good morning, Taichung! :D

1.       Breakfast @ Zhong Ke Hotel
Day 2 started with breakfast like a kinggggg...They've got Oriental and Western style breakfast such as dumpling, ham, broccoli, radish cake, bread, fried noodles, fried rice and a few other choices.

Zhong Ke Hotel by the day~ and bye bye....Off we departed to Tainan (southwest of Taiwan).

Along the highway....the view of the outskirt.

The view at along the highway~

2.        Wenwu Temple @ Tainan (famous for worshiping Confucius; a Chinese philosopher and Guan Gong; a brave and loyal military General who died during Han dynasty and deiti-fied as a God of War and Martial Arts. I was told that mostly police officers will worship this God of War for its bravery and strength when facing with criminals.)

Entrance to Wenwu Temple

 Wenwu Temple and its exterior.

I love this natural sunny view effect, joss stick pot and the temple
My picture looks so good as if it was from the DSLR camera.

Overlooking breathtaking Sun Moon Lake view at the other side. It actually being called as Sun Moon Lake as the east and west each looks like a sun and a moon from the lake. Hence the name. However, I still can't tell by the look of it. LOL~

3.   Watching Sun Moon Lake (Zhi Yue Tan) from afar @ Tainan; a popular scenic spot known for captivating the beauty of its emerald waters surrounded by jade mountains
Me posing at the stone sign which carved with words saying Zhi Yue Tan (Sun Moon Lake)

4.   Visited the Peacock Garden (anything that is categorised as birds such as chickens...different kinds of peacocks) nearby to Wenwu Temple and Sun Moon Lake area. Entrance is free for all. Nothing special about this imo unless for the kids.
The proud peacock is flaunting its beautiful feathers.

Peacock.

A type of bushy fowl. Quite pretty and extraordinary don't you think ?

5.       Lunch @ Ko Cha Bi (Old smell in Hokkien). A small simple shop which cooked Taiwanese style dishes. Not sure if it is one of a famous place though. But the food was just decent when one is hungry. ;P

Stir fry glass noodles and mushroom dish, a few stir fry vegetables, stir fry tofu and stir fry bamboo shoot.

And...a bowl of blanched soup and with a steamed fish for a group of 10 people to share together..

6.       Aborigine Agricultural Specialty Centre called Da Ke Zao  (selling Lingzhi and Royal Jelly)

Entrance into Da Ke Zao for the aborigine dance, Lingzhi and Royal Jelly introduction. I would say that it was all a motive for advertisement to sell the products and they weren't cheap to be honest. Anyway, just get in there and control your temptation to buy if they weren't needed or a necessity in the first place. :D

We first watched the aborigine dance that was accompanied by the last queen of aborigine (that was what I was informed).

Then we were given to taste the sampled drink which was made from lingzhi and royal jelly that are believed to be good for the health. Next, there were a few of the aborigine representatives were explaining and trying to pursuade a group of us to buy their products. The products could be in the form of tablets, powder and etc. which could be taken as a daily supplement.
Lingzhi is a fungus or also known as a mushroom that is grown as a parasite on tree trunks. It is also known as Ganoderma. No doubt it is sold on shelves at the pharmacies and known for its beneficial properties.

Lingzhi and I.

Took back Lingzhi's drink to quench my thirst.

7.       High Speed Train (from Tainan to Kaohsiung)

Waiting for our high speed train.

Our tour group members :)

Our ride from Tainan to Zuoying in order to get to Kaohsiung.

8.       Xin Jue Jiang Night Market @ Kaohsiung (selling socks - Hua Zhe in Mandarin)
Scenery around the night market at Kaohsiung. Nothing interesting to buy for me here. Therefore, just enjoying the colourful lightings here.

The busy night life in Kaohsiung.

9.       Dinner @ restaurant (made to order on the seated table)
The restaurant's name.

Quite a nice and authentic restaurant.

The interior decoration.

10.   Overnight @ Garden Villa Hotel
I love this hotel. Simple, modern and feels like a 4-star hotel ;)

Our room.

The facility's provided amenities.

The bathroom and I :D

With this, I'll say Good night, Kaohsiung! :*
