Jammin Via Pre Italian Restaurant @ Weld Quay, Georgetown: Tea Break Time

Last month, we went for our tea break spree to Via Pre, an Italian restaurant, located at one of the white stretch British colonial building overlooking the Weld Quay ferry, Georgetown, Penang!

Never been to this place before. But heard from many of my friends that the meals they served, were not bad at all. They serve meals from breakfast right to dinner too~
Anyway, bought the deal voucher which I happened to see it on the website. It so happened that it was the tea time deal and my accomplice is also a fan in coffee drinking ;-), so, that was why I bought this deal in order to try it off at this rustic looking tavern that seems to be special & extraordinary of its kind!
Moreover, the deal for their tea time doesn't need to make any booking. =)
It says the voucher was supposed to worth around RM60 for two ppl. However, with the deal, I managed to get half of the price with tea/coffee & cakes for two ppl.
Nowdays, food price has already increased drastically, even tea time could cost you RM50, which is around British £10.
Amazing huh?? It's true that money cannot buy happiness! But then, in this era, with no money, can also die lo...LOL~ wtf!

So, when we went over, it was around 3.30pm and the place was filled with customers but it wasn't super packed though. Their tea time starts from 3pm - 5pm. The deal was that you could claim it daily, only at those hours BUT not on a public holiday that's all~ We didn't need to wait that long before we were taken to our table.

Below are the pictures you could see to believe it. :P

The classic interior design

Ricotta cake, an Italian whey cheese made from sheep's milk. Dip a spoonful of cake into the creamy milk provided on the left side. It was a delicious cake! The sweetness tasted just nice, not cloying at all.

Crème brûlée, supposedly to be known as a burnt cream.
Therefore, it was lighted with a blue flame when it was served right to our table.
It consisted of a rich custard base topped with a contrasting layer of hard caramel. It didn't taste cloying at all too.

Cafe latte, made with espresso and steamed milk.

Cappuccino, an Italian coffee prepared with espresso, hot milk and steamed milk foam.

All in all, I think it's a good deal! We were served as what was described in the deal itself. Desserts & coffees were yummy~ We drank as it was served, no sugar added in the coffees.
Serving sizes were appropriate too.
We will definitely come back for more. :)
There was only a downside, our coffees were served last, after we had all finished eating our cakes. :'(
I hope that the management would take into account on this matter in order to improve themselves in the future.
