Penang @ Hawkers & Coffee Shops

All The Gracious Food Gathers -- A Place You'll Never Die of Hunger but You'll definitely Die of Obeseness :P

Top: It's called the Hokkien Mee (noodle), the soup base is the result of boiling the prawn head. Recommended especially to the Hokkien Mee fans. One can get it from the coffee shop, (Sin Kong coffee shop if i'm not wrong) exactly opposite the Police St. @ Pulau Tikus early in the morning. Quite spicy if u add the additional chilli paste given on the spoon. Might contain high cholesterol. It's alright if one has it once in awhile.

Chee Cheong Fun @ next to Sin Kong Coffee Shop (early morning). Sold by Ah Pek & his wife. The black colour sauce was due to the prawn paste called 'heh kor' which was commonly used in Laksa dish. The white colour noodle was something like the 'Hor Fun'. This dish is the northern region dish as KL Chee Cheong Fun is way different than the one you could get it here because you can have a variety of fish balls in it & they used sweet sour plum sauce instead.

Kismis (Raisin) Pancake @ Kuching Lane, Pulau Tikus (early morning). Other bloggers blogged that it was very nice. But as for me, it was too sweet & i hate Kismis. After all, it depends on individual. *one man's meat is another man's poison*:P

Mee Goreng Mamak @ Bangkok Lane, Pulau Tikus (available from morning till evening). This Indian noodle is featured in Astro by Jason sometime ago & there were articles talking about it in the newspapers. It's really kinda tasty. Its ingredients included cuttlefish, potatoes which have been cut into small pieces, cucur udang (prawns which have been floured & fried).

Kheng Pin Coffee Shop Lor Bak @ Sri Bahari Road off Pg Road - a variety of delicious, mouth-watering crispy & crunchy deep fried seafood. plus the concentrated sauce to dip inside it. Available from morning to slightly after noon.

Famous Crab Popiah @ Padang Brown. Nice to me especially they were no beansprout in it. Cause I just hate it. Its ingredients included cut crabstick, real crab meat, beancurd mixed  into the cut Chinese Turnips (Sengkuang). Available from around noon till evening.
Chicken Leg Lor Mee @ New Lane. Available at night. Closed on every Wednesday. It came with fish ball, shredded chicken and most of all, don't forget to mix the ground garlics & the chilli paste given. Yummy!!

Curry Mee @ New Lane. Available at night. Closed on every Wednesday. Its ingredients included 'tau pok' which were made of beancurd, peeled prawns, blocks of pigs' blood, cuttlefish & a few cockles.

Fried Oyster @ New Lane.Available at night. Closed on every Wednesday. Its made of 3 components mostly; eggs, corn starch & oysters. Need to dip it into the chilli sauce given.

Lor Bak@ NewLane. Available at night. Closed on every Wednesday. This dish can be eaten but not as delicious as the one recommended over @ Kheng Pin Coffee Shop.

Roasted Chicken Wings @ New Lane.Available at night. Closed on every Wednesday. It was really nice with the seasoned chicken. I don't think i need to describe further. All you gotta do is to try, eat it & gimme your feedback!;)

Seafood Char Kuey Teow@New Lane RM5.50. It tasted not bad but I felt that it's quite expensive, small portion.
Almond Dessert & Chinese Cake @ New Lane. The almond dessert is the one which is concentrated. That's why it's nice. But you can taste abit of the bitterness together with the sweetness from it. One can also dip the chinese cake (yau char kuey) into the almond dessert & eat it.

Ginkgo Dessert @ New Lane. Ginkgo is proven good for our brain, memory:D

Seafood Char Koey Teow with Duck Egg @ Behind Pulau Tikus Market. Available at night. We've got prawns, squids & cockles. Yummmsss...

Pan Mee, I Mum Mum @ Macallum St. near Weld Quay. Open from morning till 3pm.
Till here folks about Penang hawkersssss....
