2014: Taiwan (Day 04): Taroko Gorge @ Hua Lien and Yilan

Good morning, Taitung!

1.  Breakfast provided by Zhiben Hotspring Rainbow Hotel which came together with their room rate, inclusive of the travel tour price. Breakfast was so-so. To be honest, it wasn't appetizing at all.
Breakfast

Breakfast-noodles tasted better than the other choices

2. Departed to Hua Lien by bus (long journey), Beinan/Hua Lien is the hometown of A-Mei Taiwanese singer

On our way to Hua Lien. Drought was observed in December.

Outskirt of Taiwan.

Ate a red banana. Somehow tasted like the normal yellow banana imo :D

The bus stopped by this rest place fr a toilet break.
3Lunch @ Taiwanese style restaurant called Kuang Lou (Amei Flavour + Bamboo Rice)
The restaurant's interior

The food served. Not too bad. *yummm*

Rice and additional with Bamboo on it was served as well. It was tasteless and it reminded me of the Malay food delicacy called "lemang".

Steamed fish.

4Marble Factory (Xi Chai) perimeter @ nearby to the lunch restaurant for photo-taking. Just loitering outside of the marble factory.
The exterior view of the marble factory.

Animal Zodiac marble statues ;)

5.  Taroko Gorge (Dai Lu Ge) @ Hua Lien (one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. The gorge was formed by the running river waters, in which it cuts straight through the marble and granite to create a beautiful, narrow ravine with waterfalls and patches of mist clinging to the mountains, surrounded by subtropical forests. There is an Eternal Spring Shrine built on the mountains in which it is for the memorial of the people who built the Central Cross-Island Highway.

Me

Taroko Gorge at the background. Simplicity stunning and dangerously looking at the rocks. Anytime, the rocks could fall off. At the far end, there's an Eternal Spring Shrine.

Nature at its best! :)

On our way out - The narrow road

6.   Train from Hua Lien to Suao'xin (Pacific Ocean observed (Tai Pin Yang)
At Hua Lien train station.

Quenching thirst from this drinking machine
Lemon Black Tea drink. Interesting!

The sign says it all. Priority for the females at the lighted area. Prevention is better than cure.

To Suao'xin from Hua Lien.

Hello, the gorgeous bluish Pacific Ocean!
