Italia (Milan) 2014: Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II & Duomo di Milano

Before we started our journey, we had our breakfast at our hotel! The buffet style breakfast was simple, however it was first and foremost, appetising!

The peach was like freshly preserved, croissant, cakes, smoked ham and a cuppa cappucino! :*
Our day 01 journey begins with a brisk walk from the hotel to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II (oldest branded shopping mall) and the duomo square. Though it was quite a distance from the hotel, however, IMO, I get to see the Milan Italian building structures along the way. It took us around 1 hr of walking instead of 32 min. >.< haha~
What I see...on the way...
This public phone caught my attention!! Why?! Because of its height! I love you, Italian public phonebooths! :)
A whole stretch of bicycles for renting!
Panoramic shot!
Tram vs Cars!
The vintage Milan buildings
Here we are...we've reached the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the oldest shopping mall which sells branded goods and there are branded restaurants under one roof as well!
The Leonardo da Vinci statue.
Prada brand is from Italy! Lots of tourists getting their hands on at least with one branded item here!
Me posing at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II ^_^
The beautiful emblem tiled flooring

Panoramic shot on the oldest mall
The roof!
The tourist police officers
My first try out on the Italian gelato ice-cream in Italy! The taste was good, however, I was disappointed by the non-generous small scoop size. It was not even a full scoop!! It was more like half scoop. I wonder if it'was because we were at a touristy area, therefore, it was more like getting cheated with the ice-cream scoops offered. Two scoops of ice-cream could cost from Euro 2.50 (decent price) to 4.00 (tourist price).
For your information, my friends who went over to the United States, they told me that the 1 scoop of ice-cream is generously humongous! Even in the UK, the scoop given was more generous.

The gelato ice- cream brand is Arte, situated at the mall itself, with other fast food outlets.
Me! :)

Duomo di Milano (famous Cathedral in Milan)
p/s: Be careful with pickpockets at crowded areas like this..especially when you're trying to snap some pictures of the famous cathedral because you'll probably find touts/ conmen trying to offer you (more like forcefully) dried corns to feed the pigeons around the place and they'll later asked for money!! Or some tried to give you bangles for "free". Remember, nothing is free in this world! (although, sometimes there might be some free things though, ~5% chances)
Whoop~~ sexy statue in lingerie sale :P
We had our dinner at this half self-service restaurant called Pianeta Luna Ristorante Pizzeria which is situated nearby to the Milano Centrale Station, Milan. I mentioned here that it is a half self-service restaurant as you may need to order your food and pay the money at the counter before proceeding to your seats. However, your food will be served right up to your table.
The price was so-so/ not cheap but more on a standard pricing. The food was good though!
The alley-kinda picture shot angle.
Risotto Frutti di Mare (Seafood Italian Rice) @ Euro 16.
*yummy* *fresh seafood*
Me loves seafood~

Napoletana Anchovies Pizza @ Euro 7.
The pizza was thin crust & yummy too~ The food was truly a value for money.
A Pay & Go Smart Car in Milan~ too cute to ignore ^.^
I think Italian loves mini cars, so do I!  <3 font="">
Milano Centrale Station (train station) by night!
