2014: Taiwan (Day 06) - National Palace Museum, Martyr's Shrine, Five-Dime, Taipei 101, Wufenpu Wholesaler & Raohe Night Market

1.           Breakfast @ Park City Hotel, Luzhou District @ New Taipei City
Breakfast was okay although limited selection, but more towards Western style.
Lobby area @ Park City Hotel

Mini Xmas deco on the coffee table

The signboard says it all
2.           The National Palace Museum (Ku Kong); houses the world's largest collection of priceless Chinese art treasures, one which spans China's nearly 5000 years of history.
At the inside of the museum, it was sooooo sardines packed. First time ever I've been into a packed museum with uncivilised people pushing me around since I am petite for my size. Anyway, no pictures taking inside the museum. So, I can only do some exterior image. ;)
The cute toilet symbols. U gotta dress up like Gongchu or GeGe (princess) in order to enter ya :P
At the exterior of one of the museum building.

Taiwan National flag and I. Hoorayy~

Us~ Woot~
3.           Martyr's Shrine @ Zhongshan District; to observe the changing of guards procession ceremony.
The martyr's shrine is dedicated for those who were killed during the war of the Republic of China.
The typical oriental gazebo at the shrine area
The lion statue.
The shrine.
Was just able to observe from outside and because the tour guide didn't allow us to spend more time to go near to it and i was told that better not get close to it. Otherwise, I would like to find out and see in more detailed.

The changing of guards in Taiwan.
I've seen the changing of guards - Britain and Czech Republic :D
4.           Pixiu Fengshiu Shop (@ a nameless building, a Menara).
We were brought to this shop in order to encourage us to spend more of our money. But sorry, I can't buy, sooooo expensive. I think we had wasted more time (more than an hour or two) in shops like this by our tour guide. I rather spend more time in heritage and famous malls.
Pixiu, a Chinese mythical hybrid creature for fengshui purposes.
It is believed that this statue wards off evil spirits which is a powerful protector.
The tour guide even kept 2 little statues in which i think sometimes it might somehow absorbs my good energy vibes away into herself if  I were to get close to her? Scary~ don't play play~ wtf

Camwhoring FTW~ lmao
5.           Lunch @ Five-Dime, Zhongshan District, Taipei (artistic designed restaurant by the restaurant owner; looks like an underwater environment)
Interesting external building of the dining restaurant but the food wise was so-so.
On our way entering the restaurant
If I was not mistaken, this was the deep fried milk appetiser.

The wet tissue says it all.
Us
Taiwanese food.
Meat balls soup. Erm...usually I don't quite like their soup. Sorry, but quite tasteless.
Steamed fish. I think it was dory fish. Not really my type of fish though.

Tempura squid. This was yummy.
Fried vege with minced meat.
Taiwanese styled soy sauce chicken.

Beancurd dish
Interesting underwater-like dining experience.
Even the toilet area feels interesting and a bit creepy with those design. The aborigines style. haha.
Deco with 5 artistic biggie boobs statues;)
Omfglmao. Oopss.
;)
6.           A Plus Cosmetics wholesale mall @ Taipei area.
Was brought to this wholesale mall for buying beauty products. Some products were a bit cheaper coz u buy in bulk. Didn't manage to take any pic for this though.

7.           Taipei 101 Shopping Mall (~30min for quick window shopping)
Harlo, wet Taipei 101 >.<
Taipei 101 entrance. Similar to M'sia's KLCC mall.

Xmas deco at hall ways.
8.           Wufenpu Wholesale Shoplots @ a stretch of shops selling wholsale stuffs (bags/clothes)
No pics taken for this though. It is a stretch of shoplots in a span of a big area.

9.           Own Dinner @ Raohe Ye Shi (Night Market); one of the oldest night market in Taiwan. ( and1 huge Taiwanese sausage)

Raohe Ye Shi(Night Market).
It was slightly wet on our last night in Taipei, Taiwan. T.T But thank God throughout the journey, everything was smooth n good!
Taiwanese Fried Oyster stall.
Taiwanese styled Fried Oyster @ 60yuan (~RM7.10).
More on a starchy and stickier version than our version. The sauce was more sweety and sour side. Ours was spicy. But tasted not bad too. Needs to eat it when it's hot. Otherwise u'll have this icky feeling.

A glimpse of the XXL chicken inside the paper container.
Had XXL Fried Chicken Cutlet @ 70yuan (~RM8.30).
I also had bought my Taiwanese sausage too @ 35yuan (RM4.15).
In conclusion, as for the pricing wise for all hawker stalls' food in Taiwan so far, they are about the same with the hawker food price as compared to the one in my home country.
One for one, it is only the matter of the conversion of the blardy currency rate.
10.       Overnight @ boutique love hotel, U.Com Hotel with an attached jacuzzi
The exterior of the boutique hotel when we've reached at night after our marketing at the night market. So cute with those butterflies LED lightings ;P
Xmas deco tree in Taiwan for that night.

So lomantic. haha~ Not bad~ I heard stories that this boutique hotel is specially catered for guys bringing their mistresses here. That is why it is so romantic. Besides, they do have the bigger executive suite rooms that are located only at the ground floor that come with  special car porches for each room to hide their car inside. hohoho~
Be extremely aware of hanky panky guys~

My last night camwhoring in Taiwan. :D
The provided amenities.

They even provided a mini contact lens solution here.

The dining and chit-chatting area.
Their hanging tv.

Relaxing in the jacuzzi on my last night here. I dream of having an attached jacuzzi at home too *woot*

Good night, Taipei @ Taiwan! :*
