Woke up on a Saturday. We haven't had any breakfast. Maybe I just had a cup of cake. We planned to eat dim sum at the so called famous dim sum outlet known as Tim Ho Wan.
Today's plan was about jalan-jalan cari makan (walk walk in search of food) and loitering around at the International Finance Centre (ifc) city centre area.
Take the train from Mong Kok to Central station (one of the main big station).
At the station, we chanced upon Gillian Chung (ex- Twins girlband). I think she has made her comeback in becoming a spokesperson for some beauty products. She seems to be prettier and sexay nowadays. If only I could have a bit of her looks. ;)
I remember once that she was caught having an affair with Edison Chen. After that, her fame shot down for sometime.
Posing at the Central Station. All underground station apparently look the same. Just the paint colours on the wall are different. It is in bloody red colour. So attractive.
Snowflakes wall deco spotted.
At the interconnected mall with Central Station known as ifc Mall. My pic is a bit senget (crooked). Excuse mua, my photographer is still trying to improve his skills. ;)
Advertisement board at the interconnecting train -ifc mall. We were busy searching for the Tim Ho Wan secret outlet. Can't really find it. Hidden at a corner. We got so hungry and almost cranky. LOL~
Order chit (in Mandarin/Cantonese format) from Tim Ho Wan Dim Sum Restaurant. They do have the English version. However, one has to request for it. While waiting for the long queue, one has to request for the queue number first and order through your order chit.
Anyway, Dim Sum is a food style by the Chinese Canton which comes in small bite portion that is usually served during breakfast.
This outlet at the train station is not so huge. So tables and seats are limited. Had to wait for more than 30 min though before we can feast in their delicious dim sum. While waiting, I went to purchase a bun to munch on it first.
Their limited choice menu.
Dim Sum: Char Siew Pao.
Special right? Looks like some Mexican bun. Damnnn..it was soooo good! Crispy and tasty on the outside and yummilicious on the inside with the sweet tasty pork meat. I was doubting it at first. I don't really like the normal steamed white surface siew pao.
Luckily my boy ordered it.
The inside of the char siew pao pastry.
Dim Sum: Yin Yong Cheung Chicken Rice (Pork and Chicken meat chicken rice)
Looks bland but it was nice. I wonder if we were feeling so hungry. Every food that was served seems to be so nice. LOL~
Such a good tactic to let us waited for so long in order to appreciate those food. haha~
Dim Sum: Prawn Dumpling (Ha Kao)
This was just a normal decent dim sum.
Dim Sum: Siew Mai (Pork Dumpling)
It was like normal siew mai that I could get from other dim sum shop. Ntg to shout out.
Dim Sum: Pai Kuat (pork ribs)
*yumm...so flavourful*
Dining with Mickey mouse. ;)
Scenery around Central area. View of London Eye-like ferris wheel.
Skyscrapers.
Me & ferris wheel behind me :)
Signboard tells it all.
Overlooking Tsim Sha Tsui (if i am not mistaken. LOL).
Saw the historical HK boat real life now (from dramas).
Apple outlet. Everyone is freakin' crazy with the Apple brand. Don't know why. Genius likes to own an apple? I'm eating an apple a day on weekdays though. So, am I considered a genius too? ;) haha~
Tried this Korean banana flavored milk drink.
Walked around at the city centre area, to be exact, at Sheung Wan.
On our way to Man Mo Temple. Quite a long wayyyy though. *tired and uncertained of the way as the sign was a bit misleading and the roads mostly aren't straight with hilly (one could see all the steps)*
Dog walking.
Man Mo Temple. Built in 1847.
A temple for the worshipping of civil and literature God and martial God,
Wall design.
Ladder Street is actually the steps whereby most HK dramas would always shot dramas at here.
Tree with very old roots. *artistic*
Along Hollywood Road.
:D
Mural *artsy wall*
Selfie with my Wayfarer shades. :)
Yat Lok Goose Meat Coffee Shop.
HK's coffee shops are mostly narrow and crowded. Usually one would have to share a table with others (tap toi).
Roasted Goose Meat Rice at HKD50, Goose Meat Rice Vermicelli Noodles at HKD48 and two glasses of ice lemon tea at HKD32.
Siu Hor Rice (Roasted Goose Meat Rice). I think this made better choice. The boy said that it was really good.
Goose Meat Rice Vermicelli Noodles.
I think I made the wrong choice. The meat wasn't tender but rather hard to even bite. Probably it became soggy when it was drenched with the broth.
Central area.
Overlooking the other side of the island, Tsim Sha Tsui from ifc Mall.
Dinner time at Tasty Congee & Noodle Wantun Restaurant.
In Penang, there is this HK outlet at Gurney Paragon. Had to go try there since the ones we had in HK was so good.
Me. Love this pic.
Me looking natural, pretty & sexay ;)
First time trying HK style wanton noodles. Damnnn, I always got deceived by this simple noodle look.
Noodles were cooked al dente and chewy. Wanton pork meat were flavourful.
Congee. Fish and Pork meat, if i weren't mistaken.
Porridge that tasted so smooth. HK style.
Awaiting for the lighting show to start while sitting at the outside bench of ifc mall. Enjoying the breathtaking and chilly air during the night time overlooking Tsim Sha Tsui.
Rhythmic lighting show.
We had such a fruitful day as in we had spent the time wisely. Thanks, boy for the planning. It was great for a start :)
~End of Day 02~
