Flying with SIA: Penang to Singapore & Singapore to London

Today, I will blog about my flight via the Singapore Airlines.

I was on my summer holidays in the UK. I just decided to take leave (supposedly to claim my annual leave & it was approved 3 weeks earlier before my departure. However, due to some management problem, I had a last minute thingy changed to an unpaid leave. wth~
If I knew this would happen, I would take a longer unpaid leave...fts) and be a hawt nanny for my nephew & do some holiday thingy as well too.
Anyway, I bought my flight tix around 1 1/2 months earlier, so unfortunately, I didn't get to buy those tix at a cheaper price. Besides, it was almost fully booked. :/

I will blog more about my flight meal with SIA and how much I enjoyed the food served.

The Silk Airlines from Penang to Singapore.
Flight from Penang to Singapore was via Silk Airlines. It is a subsidiary or a sister company to SIA. Silk Airlines is a smaller aircraft which serves shorter distance destinations (from my understanding).
Flight journey was around 1 hour and we were served a warm delicious chicken puff and a small plastic "glass" of orange juice (cannot be entitled as a cup cause there weren't any handles for me to hold but in a transparent plastic container which looked like a glass).
Sorry, no pic taken. Sometimes I do feel weird that I keep taking pictures. Ppl might be thinking that I'm a crazy person? Actually, nowadays, a lot of ppl like taking pictures. Just that one hardly notice them. But anyway, pictures are taken (particularly for some special occasions) which are for me to do some bloggings in order to improve English, recommend places of interests and for memory keeping.

For your information, the whole flight journey was in the Economy Class la. Next time, when my life is in the higher status, I will go for a Business Class flight then. *dreaming*

Me in the Sky Train to the Terminal 3 airport area. At the back of me is also another Sky Train which is going to the moon. :P
When we've arrived at the Changi airport, it was at the Terminal 2. However, since the next flight will be departing for the international flight, we had to change to the Terminal 3 by using the Changi Sky Train.
Well, one thing that I dislike was that the transit time was just for 1 hour and to get from Terminal 2 to 3 needed to use another form of transportation which was the Sky Train and that the Changi airport is a huge international airport. Therefore, one needed to walk for a distance to get to the next departure hall. What if you have got a senior citizen person with you?!
As I was traveling with my mother, so, I was facing this difficulty. When you've managed to reach the terminal area, you have got to pass through the security search checkpoint too. Imagine if there were a lot of ppl. We will definitely missed our flight.
I didn't inform in advance for the caddy airport service cause I wanted my mother to exercise.
This was the crazy experience that I had to face. LOL~ *what an experience, it will teach us that time and tide wait for no men* :P

The huge airbus fetching us to London Heathrow airport.
SIA flight from Singapore to London was serving the International food and a mixture of Chinese style food too (referring to the menu). The journey lasted for around 13 hours long.

My journey was started with a refreshment (I was waiting to get myself tipsy in order to make myself sleep> LOL).
I ordered the cocktail specially created by the Singaporean called the Singapore Sling to try it off. It has the concoction of of dry gin, Dom Benedictine, orange juice, liquor, cherry brandy and some squeeze of lime & pineapple juice. It was not bad for a first try. But mostly, the taste was overpowered by the liquor, orange juice and the lime juice, I would say. Anyway, it also depended on the flight attendant's skills in mixing the cocktail.
The menu. I think the menu will be changed after every month or so.
Overall, the food was good. I swept all of the food completely clean. So, what do you think about the taste of the food would be? :P

I love the cold dish starter, the Thai spicy seafood which was some shrimps & cut squids with some glass noodles salad.
I chose the beef goulash with sauteed vegetables with steamed potatoes. I took the bread to mix with some goulash sauce to eat too. *yum yum*
The petite glass served was my request for the Chardonnay white wine. *cheers*
After that, I ate the cheese and crackers.
Lastly, after everything has be walloped, a few moments later, I was served the tiramisu (if I'm not mistaken, I can't remember already, no pic to support too) ice cream separately.
Then, just drank the plain water to end my hearty meal.

Overlooking Thar desert in India!

Can you tell where were we now? ;)
Overlooking the London Eye and the great River Thames~

A fleet of the Virgin airlines~  We've reached Heathrow!

The meal was served around 2 hours before touching down at the London airport.
This meal was without any pic taken. A bit lazy by then though. I ordered the panfried chicken in basil sauce with roasted vege and potatoes. me & my potatoes. gonna be a couch potato soon. LMAO~
Actually I would prefer the pork over chicken but i wouldn't want to have the rice. If only I can mix and match. darn~
And again, I love the appetiser cause it had the marinated yummy shrimps. :)
All in all, SIA is actually a good airlines which I like about all these while (apart from MAS), with their flight services from the indoor services, their cleanliness of the wash cubicle and seating to the punctuality of their departure and arrival time. However, (sometimes) you might be served by some ego & proud attendants as well, seeing that they might have known that their airlines company is well-known across the world.
